Our Environmental Papers
Ecoprint focuses on two styles of print presentation. Coated (shiny) and uncoated (not shiny). Coated papers are suitable for print that requires extra presentation and also a longer life. Our papers are listed below and meet the following certifications. We can also work and provide specialist papers that are above and beyond existing environmental certifications. Papers that are made from native seeds, that can be planted after the print delivery has occurred – and others that aid your business communication. Things you need to know Our Ink:
Ecoprint uses only vegetable based inks with all its offset printing. Vegetable inks have exactly the same finish as traditionally inks, the only difference being instead of ink pigment being suspended in fossil fuel based oils, it is suspended in vegetable oils. Vegetable oils are also superior in many ways, but most importantly they are biodegradable, and contain less than 5% VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compound). VOC’s vaporize easily into the air and are damaging to humans, animals and the environment. A common VOC is nail varnish.
Recycled Paper and FSC Paper stocks:
Ecoprint uses recycled paper stocks that you may not have used before. These stocks have been chosen to be similar to traditional print stocks, and perform well in commercial print environments. Please note the important difference between coated and uncoated papers. Recycled papers are made from either pre or post consumer wastes. Pre consumer waste is waste from a product before it is consumed or goes to market. Post consumer waste is waste from a used product or a product already consumed by the market. Post consumer waste driven papers are a great example of recycling policy, and ensures we cut down less trees to make paper. Envirocare is a leading uncoated paper because it is made from 100% consumer waste (post and pre).
